At the Irish Military Museum And Park, we are always delighted to welcome adult tours and guarantee your group a hands-on and awe-inspiring experience.

ADULT GROUPS

Explore thousands on items spanning the Napoleonic Wars, the American Civil War, World War One and Two, the 1916 Revolution, the Vietnam War, and the Gulf War, to name a few.

Our passionate in-house historian will lead you on a captivating tour of our extensive collection, one of Ireland’s finest, featuring high-quality memorabilia, equipment, deactivated weaponry, uniforms and military vehicles that you can touch and feel.

Nowhere else in Europe will you be met with such enthusiasm to handle a soldier’s gun, try on some army fatigues, or get behind the wheel of a tank!

For some who have served in the armed forces, the Irish Military Museum And Park offers a trip down memory lane. For others, it provides a fascinating insight into the evolution of weaponry and the impact war has had on technology development.

We can provide adult tour groups with an option of three packages, or a combination of all three, as follows:

Package One – Museum Tour

Amaze your group with a guided tour of one of Europe’s finest wartime collections – why travel to France when you can see, touch and handle high quality memorabilia, equipment and weaponry right here in Ireland? Each tour takes approximately one hour and covers the museum’s complete collection. After the museum tour, your group is welcome to enjoy our outdoor picnic area before returning home.

Package Two – Talk on your topic of choice

Relax in our spacious 1400 square feet conference room, which provides the ideal setting for a talk from our in-house historian on your wartime topic of choice. Items relevant to your topic will be made available in the conference room for your group to touch and handle, from deactivated weaponry to medals and other memorabilia.

Package Three – Ride in a tank

There is nothing quite like the experience of riding in a tank! Climb into our original FV432 armoured personnel carrier and feel the weight and force of this mighty tank as it powers through open fields and muddy ditches.
